“The Balearic region is an archipelago of five islands (Menorca, Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera) located to the east of Spain. With more than 15 million visitors to the region each year, tourism is a mainstay of the local economy.
Since 2002, the regional government has been responsible for providing healthcare services through the Ministry of Health and Consumer Protection of the Balearic Islands (IB Salut). To improve patient care and safety, IB Salut chose a portal-based electronic health record (EHR) solution to make clinical records readily available and accessible to all health professionals who need them, at all necessary locations.”
